As a proud Diamond Life Member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Incorporated, Soror Tamara D. Harris has dedicated more than 25 years of active service to advancing the Sisterhood at the chapter, state, regional, and national levels.

Her extensive leadership record includes service as Maryland State Director, National Youth Director and Co-Director, Atlantic Regional Tamias-Grammateus, Atlantic Regional Youth Coordinator, and as a charter member and Basileus Emeritus of Tau Eta Zeta Chapter in Baltimore, Maryland.

Tamara’s commitment to governance and accountability is reflected in her broad service on numerous committees, including Constitution & Bylaws, Finance, Membership, Youth Advisory, Public Relations, and Scholarship, ensuring Zeta’s standards of excellence remain strong and effective. She currently serves as a Board Appointee to Zeta’s International Disciplinary Committee, where she helps uphold the organization’s values and reinforces fairness and integrity in Zeta's governance and discipline practices.

Professionally, Tamara has built a distinguished career as a Mathematical Statistician with the U.S. Department of Agriculture, where she has served for nearly three decades. Her expertise in project management, data governance, analytics, and compliance enhances her ability to support effective decision-making and strengthen the Board’s leadership capacity.

As a Professional Registered Parliamentarian (PRP) and the current District Two Director of the National Association of Parliamentarians, Tamara is recognized for her ability to guide organizations with fairness, clarity, and integrity while upholding governing documents and parliamentary standards.

Tamara's leadership extends beyond Zeta. She is an active and dedicated member of Top Ladies of Distinction, Inc., where she supports programs that uplift youth and communities. She also serves as the National Public Relations Chair and Secretary of the Windsor Mill Chapter of the Pinochle Bugs Civic and Social Club, Inc., an organization with a 70+ year history of civic engagement and service.

Beyond Zeta, Tamara is committed to service in her community. She has served with organizations such as the Eunice Clement Sligh Foundation, Inc., NAACP, Girl Scouts of Central Maryland, and New Antioch Church, always prioritizing youth development, education, and servant leadership.
